"Running Back to You" was recorded on a 100 year old mandolin my dad picked up for me at a garage sale in Lincoln, NE. I didn't know any chords on it but figured out a riff for the song that I was actually planning to co-write with a beautiful singer songwriter I had met and ended up going on a date with. Welllll, the date didn't go as well as planned and when I got home I ended up writing the song by myself about the date instead of with her... Ooops. She was a great girl but when you are used to the depth of knowing someone to the core and then you hangout with a stranger its no ones fault you feel like you're walking under a streetlight instead of a radiant sunrise.
